Re: Ramkeeper

I have been known to use a sheet of paper, folded over to double it's
thickness as an insulator. Again, it is to prevent the circuit board
from touching anything that may short the board. In recent years, I
have been using thin cardboard even between the slot cards to make sure
nothing happens. Each one is customized to size and shape of the
circuit board it protects.

(I'll have to look at my local hobby store for the 'plastic' insulator
mentioned, it's likely to be thinner than my cardboard.)

Please let us know how it works out for you. I have one of those cards
and aside form initial testing have never gotten it installed. My
ultimate goal is to stick 2 8meg cards in it to make a maximum IIgs and
give me an 8M startup ROM drive. Unfortunately the RamKeeper does not
support any of the newer 8M RAM cards. I do have two AE 6 Meg Ram Plus
cards, but one is Rom1, the other is Rom3 and I do not know how they
will interact with the Keeper. :( In relation to this future project,
I am trying to keep my IIgs start-up below the 8Meg ROM drive limit.
That is tough when you start adding INITS and Drivers for all the other
stuff I have in the system.
