It's the same as a Disk II controller, only with a single DB-19. Two of the
newer 5.25" drives should work off of it too, or you could cobble together
an adapter to drive a pair of Disk IIs.
As for plugging a DuoDisk straight into a IIGS...it works for me, but some
DuoDisks needed a modification for this to work. IIRC, it involved removing
a capacitor somewhere in the DuoDisk; I don't remember which one. Maybe a
search of the Apple II websites would turn up the relevant information.
