okay i understand now.

the only reason why i was really concerned was that i would have perferred to
use one monitor for my classic computer collection.. 

i can continue to use my composite montior (a magnavox rgb80 composite mointor)
but i also wanted to know why does it NOT show colors from my apple 2 gs?  even
though it is connected via standard rca cables, the apple 2gs 80 column mode is
quite legible but none of it is in color.  

what could be the problem?  i checked the system options and tried changing the
text color, border color, color/mono, etc etc and nothing still shows up as
color.

it is a rom 01 gs also.
