re: AppleCD SC Plus woes

Hi, William...thanks for the note.

 ws> The RamFAST card has a ROM disk on it. You go into the
 ws> RamFAST utilities (press 0 while booting up) and under options

Oh, I'm aware of this, and have the ROM disk enabled. I presume you're responding to my comment of:

<snip>

     o A Media Driver which matches your CD-ROM drive. For example, RF.NEC is a
driver supplied with RamFAST which works with NEC drives. The Media Driver
should be in the SYSTEM/DRIVERS/MEDIA.CONTROL/ folder.

[While I mentioned that music isn't an issue, I don't have any software with
the RamFast. Was there a disk originally, and if so, would there be some kind
of driver for this drive, which I see is a Sony mechanism in the RamFast BIOS?]

<end snip>

I've got two files on my ROM disk. One is the RamFast.System software, and the other is the card driver. So where was this "RF.NEC?"

While I'm on it, "dumb question of the week award" time:

How do I create partitions larger than 32 MEG? If I create them from the RamFast software, well, I hit that 32 MEG ceiling that ProDOS has. I've tried the Advanced Disk Utility, got something about no Mac driver, found something called Genex to take care of that, but I still can't partition larger than 32 MEG.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can give me a hand...
