I was hoping you'd say that. To have a truly robust /// emulator would be awesome. It's a shame that the Sara source code is not available in addition to MESS.
Sara isn't available, but in talking with the Apple /// MESS driver developer, he based it on Sara (rewriting a fair amount at the same time). Sometimes developers just don't agree with one another. ;-)
BTW, I got MESS working on my Mac, it was very easy to compile and use. However it is a bit cumbersome and it's lacking a lot of documentation (e.g. how to swap floppies).
Yep, I threatened to submit some updates as I was playing with the code a while ago, too. But it's much easier to run via MESSUI, which lets you manage floppies. But since I haven't gotten the keyboard working yet, I don't really have a need to swap... everything has to work on one disk since I don't really have a way to interact with it. But it is useful to test display attributes or SOS calls, for example.
