Re: Challenges for all you Apple II programmers

Here are some challenges for all the Apple II programmers here....

In Applesoft, complete the following:

1. The fastest program to find the prime numbers from 2 to 1000, and print
them on the screen, in the least amount of code.

and...

2. The fastest program to multiply any 2 twenty-digit integers, and display
the result on the screen, also in the least amount of code.

All programs submitted for this "contest" will be typed into an Apple IIc,
and timed. The limit of lines is the standard Applesoft 239 characters.
Results of the top five for each challenge will be posted in this newsgroup.
The only "prize" I can award are accolades you will get when your name is on
the winners list.

Have fun, and get to coding!

Sounds very much like a grade eight project. This might be something the youngsters might like to try. :-)
