Good to see a bit of friendly debate every now and then, just to sort out
the facts from the fiction.
Like William, I also was under the dillusion that 7.0.1 or 7.1 (not sure
which I have now) wouldn't automatically deal with ProDOS or MS-DOS floppys.
I was using PC Exchange, which helped with MS-DOS, But I still had to run
Apple File Exchange to deal with ProDOS, and that was a nuicance.
Thanks Barry for pointing out how to do this correctly. I have a 10/500
Classic II as well, and I updated to System 7.5.3 then 7.6.1 and a larger
HDD just to have the flexability I needed. I found that 7.6.1 is so slow to
load I might go back to 7.0.1 or 7.1 and update it with appropriate
extensions just so I can have a faster booting MacHine.
