You _may_ be able to do some good against the yellowing with some kind
of bleach product.

Things seems to go best if you first use a good general purpose cleaner
(e.g. Fantastik, Windex, ...) to clean away dust, dirt, and scum. After
cleaning, wipe dry to avoid mixing bleach products with whatever cleaner you
used.

Liam Busey and Jon Camp report some success using SoftScrub w/bleach.
Clorox Cleanup has also been mentioned in the past as well as a strong
whitening toothpaste applied with a toothbrush. John King once mentioned a
blue plastic cleaner-- intended for removing ink stains-- available from
Graybar Electric.

Be sure to report on what you try and how well it works.
