This is how it should be. A Mac running System 7 or later can act as a
"server" (i. e. it can be seen on the network and files can be
read/written to it by users of other machines). A IIGS can only act as a
"client" (the IIGS user can read/write files to servers) but not as a
server, so it does not show up on the network.
