My guess is... it's a no-name Taiwanese PC clone serial mouse.

You're probably right, David. In fact on the bottom it says made in
Taiwan. I was just curious if anyone might know anything about this.

Yep, Taiwan was a popular place to make clone equipment of all sorts back then. I don't think this mouse has anything whatever to do with Apple... it's just a plain PC serial mouse, modeled on the Microsoft mouse of the day.

I could be wrong - the auction said it was tested/working. It just seems implausible that there would be a 2-button mouse for the II...
