It has four simm slots and a dip switch which turns each bank
on or off. They have to be installed in pairs I think. I have
two megs of simms that came with the card and they work fine.
However, if I replace them with the new RAM, the machine
locks up on booting GS/OS. The loading bar keeps moving
but the disk drive freezes. I used a mix of the two types of
RAM in different banks and it won't load either. I didn't try
putting all four of the new memory in and see if it works. It
is possible that one of them is bad. I put the original memory
back in and it works fine. The only difference I can see is
that the original RAM is taller and has gold contacts and the
new memory is low-profile and has silver contacts. Would
this be a problem???
