I'm pretty sure the main limitation on GS-ShrinkIt (GSHK, ShrinkItGS) is
that it can not handle whole-disk archives of 5.25" DOS 3.3 disks created by
8-bit ShrinkIt. Of course, this does happen to include most .sdk files.
Another problem with GS-ShrinkIt is that the whole-disk archives it
creates are not correctly handled by Newlib when you want to convert from .sdk
to a disk image file.
8-bit ShrinkIt can handle GS-ShrinkIt .sdk files. So, it's probably a good
general rule to stick with 8-bit ShrinkIt for creating .sdk files and for
handling conversion of .sdk files to diskette.
