Sorry, buddy, you've been in a cave for a few years.  While making a
back-up is specifically allowed under the law, trafficking in a
program which bypasses a technological measure intended to control use
or access to the copyrighted work in order to do so is not.  That's
what the law says.  Section 1201 of Title 17 of the United States
Code.
