It's a very old modification of DOS 3.3
for use on a 3.5 disk giving (2) 400k
sections (I think that's the way it works).
it was made and released by Richard Bennett
long before the other two - which were sort
of like it.
Those two DOS 3.3 modifications for use in
much the same fashion as OzDOS were AmDOS
and another released by the late Glen Bredon
(I forget the name of it now).
Nathan Mates :) also released a unique and rather
nice GS/OS add-on called Swatter (if my
memory serves me correctly on the name --
or it may have been named Switch Hitter --
not sure on the name of it at all now either).
It will allow the user via GS/OS v6.01 - to set
up several RAM drives of the size required
for holding a DOS 3.3 5.25 " disk image - thus giving
you the option of having several such RAM drive areas
on your hard drive to store and run most any type of 5.25"
Apple II disk images.
I'm sure that archive is still available from the
Apple2 - Ground site. I'm not sure of where it
is located on the Ground site though. Perhaps somebody
knows more about that GS/OS add-on program from
Nathan - it's correct name and where to download the
archive of it from and so on.
Cheers,
Tom
