Back before I obtained parallel printers for my x86 boxen, I used to print
from them to an Imagewriter all the time. All you should need is a serial
cable (with the appropriate end for your computer's serial ports) and a null
modem. (A null-modem cable will work, and you'd have only one piece instead
of two. A LapLink cable might also work, but I'm not sure if it has all the
handshaking signals needed.) You would then need to set up the serial port
properly (typically 9600 bps, 8/N/1, hardware handshaking); a MODE command
in DOS or the appropriate serial-port twiddling in Win9x/NT/2K will do this.
The C.Itoh 8510 (?) driver is the one you want to use, assuming you're not
just printing plain text.
