I agree, that's why I'm going to build my own now.

true, but the Platimum has the keypad.

I havn't got that far yet, don't try to put me off, I'll only try harder to
make it work ! :). As long as the memory fits, and a Focus card I'm happy.
Besides, don't forget most of the ports are built in, so you don't need to
expand as much as you would in a regular IIe.

not with my platinum supply, which is rated the same as the GS one in
Australia. Also I could use the GS one, it looks like it'll screw in the
same.

no problem now, just plug a mouse into the ADB port.

The IIeGS was dropped AFAIK, before the Platinum came out, so it leaves some
hacking & customizing to the builder. like their own label for their own
hame made "Apple IIeGS Platinum", or maybe "Apple ][ PeGS" !. Maybe a
re-spray over the Platinum logo with some kind of template was what I was
thinking.

It won't happen overnight, but maybe in a few weeks, I'll be the proud owner
of a never released Apple.
