By "the headers" I assume you mean the sensor for the write
protection?

If that doesn't help, try re-soldering it in and also check the traces
if the solder on the other end might have cracked.

Or you might just replace it. Unfortunately I don't know which part
number exactly you need, as I don't have a IIc, but usually it's a
photo transistor on one side and a LED on the other.
