True.  My first //e was upgraded in this manner to a IIgs system.  The
upper part on my case, however was changed out, since I had an early //e
with the olive greenish-beige keys and the four screw baseplate. 
Strangely enough, mine looked identical to the one that just was
auctioned off on eBay for over $105.00.  Right down to the slightly
off-kilter spacebar.
