I'm the one who placed the original request, and yes, I am trying to get it
running for historical purposes. I would hardly want to beat this old
printer to death (so to speak) by using it as say, a line printer or perhaps
to print out 50 meg PDF files. (???) Geez. If I was the kind of person who
would do hope to use a tiny old thermal printer as a workhorse on my IIe (?)
then I doubt that I would be a vintage computer collector in the first
place. I can use my HP Laserjet 4100 if I need to do serious printing, and
you right about the paper. Standard, off the shelf, 8.5" x 11 sheets ARE
much cheaper than that old, thermal paper that the ink fades from within a
matter of months. ??? I almost feel insulted by your comments, even if I
can't rationalize it. ? I'm sleep deprived right now, so maybe I'm just
feeling a little testy.
