I don't know what that HDD is, but _if_it_is_running_on_a_GS_, AND the
protection is TransProg you can try booting a /System floppy disk and maybe
access the HDD. Another way that works is to boot without inits/da's. To do
this try shift-booting by holding down the shift key when booting until a
message that init's/da's are not installed.
I used this method to access a Vulcan drive I picked up that was TransProg
protected. If that works you can re-install the system software on top of
the boot volume to make the HDD bootable in future without the need for a
password. You can then access most of the software on the drive but may not
be able to run it if it uses any of the init's or da's.
I don't know of any of the other password schemes, only that this works for
TransProg.
In any case if this is not the password protection scheme, you can still try
shift-booting or the boot disk method.

Hope that helps, if not, and no-one else knows, you may have to re-format
it.
