I had the very same problem as you recently as I bought a couple
of used Apple II systems.  Does the machine have a Super Serial
Card?  If it does you could transfer the data to the Apple II via
a serial cable from a PC using a program called Apple Data
Transfer.  If not, you could order the disk from A2Central at:

http://www.a2central.com/stuff/applesoftware/index.html

For $2 bucks a disk, they will copy the system software and
send it to you. You can get ADT from the following link:

ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/utility/adt122.zip

Download the software and follow the instructions in the Zip
file.  This is a great way to get the software if you have a serial
card on the Apple II and have a PC.
