Hmm. Actually, Greg wrote that, not me!
The answer is to _carefully_ align the Zip Chip pins in the 40-pin 65C02
socket--ALL of them--and then press down. Gently at first, then VERY
firmly, while supporting the Apple main board. It's a shame that Zip
never spent the few dollars required to put a machined-pin socket on
the Zip Chip. Of course, you can add one, but it may create a clearance
problem with nearby cards.
