Very nice Conan FAQs! Here is some extra info on setting Keyboard or
Joystick mode and game controls:
After flipping the disk and inserting Side 2, you will see the
castle which is the entry to Volta's domain.
Pressing a key puts you in Keyboard mode and starts Level 1.
Pressing the Joystick fire button puts you in Joystick mode
and starts Level 1.
Controls
Keyboard Mode
Up: A
Down: Z
Walk Right: ->
Run Right: -> (while walking)
Walk Left: <-
Run Left: <- (while walking)
Stop/slow L/R: press opposite arrow key
Stop climbing: press either arrow key
Jump up: Q
Jump L/R: Q (while walking)
Jump far L/R: Q (while running)
Throw sword: SPACE
Joystick mode: Control-J (not on real A2; works on some emulators)
Joystick Mode
Up: stick up
Down: stick down
Walk Right: stick right
Run Right: stick far right
Walk Left: stick left
Run Left: stick far left
Stop: stick centered
Jump up: Fire button
Jump L/R: Fire button while walking
Jump far L/R: Fire button while running
Throw sword: Aux button
Keys that work in both modes
Toggle Sound: S
Toggle Pause: Esc
Restart Game: Return
Rubywand
