Some ground rules first. I'm not defending Tom, and not even necessarily
Dan, but you do seem to have a few "preconceptions".

I'm hardly rich myself, but I have managed to collect more than a few
legitimate copies of appleII software. Aren't you being somewhat
belligerent? Besides, I wasn't aware that it was a given that all software
pirates are gay... unless you were referring to the flower. Tell me QC, are
you afraid of garden plants? Or just homophobic? Oh, one other thing. Since
zealots rarely realize this, I'll spell it out. Some people exaggerate
simply for the hell of it. Idiosyncracies, habit, wanting to get the point
across, there are many reasons. Is that another crime in the book of QC?

>Heh.. Greedy Jerk... This from a pansy pirate who has "THOUSANDS" of
programs.

booting

I thought that you were considering the possibility that Dan was rich? But
since you've dismissed that possibility, it seems that you now consider him
to be a junkie/alcoholic/homosexual. Gee, you really should go into
politics, QC. You're much better at mudslinging and poisoning the well than
some of these "professionals". They should be ashamed at themselves, for
being outdone so impressively, and from an unknown amateur at that.

>each of those programs and messing with them for an hour would take you
years.

Who says he messes with the apps for hours? Or that what he does is "messing
with them"? He might not even boot them, QC. I know that there are more than
a few pieces of software that I've not had time to check out. Are you
informing the FBI as we speak, of my strange and suspicious software habits,
even as you read this?

>Just who is "greedy" and a "jerk". ;)

Well, while no one name comes to mind when you ask who is greedy, it should
be fairly obvious who the first person most people think of, when they read
the word jerk on this newsgroup. But let's make it fun. I'll give you 3
guesses, and the first 2 don't count against you. Hmm... I'll even give you
a clue, his initials are QC.

Gee, QC. You really need a hobby. Either that, or a lobotomy. Whatever it is
you hope to accomplish, you're your own worst enemy. The few casual
copyright infringers that you might thwart, mean so much less than the bad
will you cause, and the total lack of respect for pro-IP interests that you
encourage in most apple ii enthusiasts. Think about it for a moment. One
casual software pirate, or 20 people who never read your rantings and think,
"gee, those anti-piracy people are fucking nuts". At the rate you're going,
I'll not have to worry about the likes of you more than a few years. There
is one other possibility though, that is, you are just a troll, in the most
extreme definition of the word. Tell me QC, do you crave other people's
attention, and are you willing to say whatever it takes to achieve that? :)
