   Then yes.  If the monitor has the 2 row 15 pin connector, then you need the
adapter that originally came with the monitor to adapt it to the PC.  Some
Apple monitors have the VGA 3 row high density connector already, but most
don't.  Any of the Apple Multiscan or Multiple Scan monitors work on PC's too. 
When I got my Dell 21" PC monitor, I put it on my new Mac, the old Apple 20"
multiscan went on the PC.  Talk about mix and match!
