There should be an application called Teach on the hard drive that you can
use to open these files.

Sounds like you keep running the Marinetti installer. Marinetti is actually
a set of files (a control panel, a toolset, an init) that are put in the
proper locations by the installer, and a reboot makes them available. There
should be an Applications folder created by the installer that contains a
sample telnet application. You could try that after configuring the TCP/IP
control panel.
