After patching, Quicken accepted the date 00 just fine, but then converted it
to 02 upon writing to disk. The month and day were also changed.

We did have large chunks of disassembled source code, thanks to users on csa2
(Dave Tribbey and others) who answered my call for help. Also Jason Harper of
CompuServe taught us what certain op codes meant, how dates were formatted in
Pascal (which is not the same as in assembly), and expounded other theories
about why the year 68 was chosen, which turned out to be true. Very
interesting.

I would not say as Sandra did thay the work was not a success. Anytime I learn
something by doing it as thoroughly as this, it is a success for me. I have no
doubt that we would have reached a solution, but unfortunately another
programmer was out there duplicating some of my other Y2K patches. I didn't
feel that I could spend any more time on it. Note that any time we embarked on
a marathon project like this, TEXAS II subscribers went without their
newsletters and disks, and I went without income.
