i keep planing on getting a 2nd one but then again i just recently 
managed to get a free newsgroup and mozilla thunderbird up on the win 7 
machine in order to see newsgroups again

what i want and what i have time for seem to be in major conflict

am on the list for the next batch of cffa 3000 card thou with usb 
adapter maybe that will get me off the dime to backup stuff

up until like the end of 2007 you could get on via internet

applenet dos 3.3 bbs pkg with real asci downloads (zowie) circa 1982 dos 
3.3 version (pre pro dos version by another author of same name in georgia)

tpro 4.2 rpb bbs pkg with star wars game/joust/qazz's tavern (with 
beerhunter) a dungeon   an atm for $$$ to use in all the above games and 
also gambling section ...you died it kicks you off bbs..a hoot

fv/metal 4.0xev edition of gbbs clone with METAL scripting language
had pretty much all the old bbs games of that era spacer quest and
the rest had proterm graphics and ansi graphics like the boycott bbs
if your remember his had apps for users to speed up there or slow down
there accelerator card remotely for particular games

worldgroup/major bbs 6.21 thru eventually wg 3.20 256 node server bbs
had majormud and a product called dialup for remote doors so that you
could hit the above old bbs systems via internet/telnet also had 
syncronet bbs incorp so you could play 16 bit doors in full multinode
mode w/o fossil drivers etc on an xp server....that was handy on a
donated T1 line at a local computer store

alas other sysops left no time now i should prob get around to archiving 
such and also all my apple ii drivers etc and get them out
on the net

sorry i digressed here....but I do try to get fired up and do something
real life sucks
