     Some things to check/try ...

o- On the PC, you are running the usual version of adt.exe in a DOS window.
The usual version of adt.exe needs to run under DOS-- i.e. you need to get
out of Windows and into DOS mode and start adt.exe there.

Or, download the version of adt.exe which is designed to run under Windows.
See http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2T1TCOM.html#012 for a link to
adtw122.zip on Ground. This file includes adt.exe designed for windows. (If
your transfer of ADT to the Apple II went okay, you do not need to
re-transfer ADT.)

o- On the PC, your COM port setting has "flow control" set to "None".
Experiment with setting it to "hardware" or something else besides "None" (in
Windows, go to Control Panel--> System--> Device Manager--> Ports ...) .

o- In adt.exe on the PC, you need to set COM Port to the COM port you are
connected to.

o- In adt.exe on the PC, you need to set speed to the same baud rate set for
the Apple II.
