Sorry, but this is the impression I received from the "Nathan Mates" thread.
Your response to somebody uploading some of your software was a point of
control (version, encoding), which shifted the focus away from financial
issues.

I have not needed it in the past because I can not use it. I have
virtually no software for my II's since it is next to impossible to locate
reasonably priced version. As I pointed out earlier, purchasing Opus II
*alone* (and just "The Software" component) would cost as much as I paid
for a complete set of software for my 68030 based Macintosh.
Now I like the Apple II, I can be happy with almost any older computer.
And other older computers are more economical.
