but if you're looking for the info behind the connect
sounds, for lower speed modem connections; then I am
unaware of any sources for such. Having listened to
modem connects since 300 baud - I'm quite familliar
with the sound of `good' connects for 2400 and 56K
and recognize the initial, negotiating and final
handshake and have often used this on bad lines to
judge whether I should hang-up and dial-in again
or not - but this is still a layman's p.o.v.
