If it still has the UniDisk interface board, then nothing will be able
to take advantage of the extra features.  There might be compatibility
problems between the UniDisk interface board and a SuperDrive mechanism,
but the SuperDrive is supposed to be backward-compatible with the 800K
mechanism.

It would only be a genuine SuperDrive if it used the interface board
from an Apple 3.5 Drive or SuperDrive.
