I guess you're referring to the solder pads or jumper pads marked x1,
x2, x3, x4. x5, and x6.

x1, x2, and x3 have to do with the keyboard.
x4 and x5 have to do with DMA
x6 is for the shift key mod
And while it's not exactly at that location x7 is used in certain
circumstances for cards in slot 7
