Hi
I recently aquired many a2+'s & a2e's, some with differing hardware
installed with no documentation
to go with them. Most of the cards I can identify except two: the first
card has written on a sticker attached
to the ROM chip; "Wild Card 2". It also contains a 6116 statice ram, and
was in slot 5 of the //e I removed
it from. It sports a small diameter coaxial cable exiting out the rear
of the a2 with what looks like a
3.5 phone jack - I said "looks" - it appears to be a proprietary jack.
It's silk screen sez "central point
software" which leads me to believe that this must be some kind of
storage device card.
The other card has a Z80B (4 mhz ver) on it (which I am very familiar
with assembly lang
wise & hardware wise), 2 PLAs, 6 74LS series support circuits, a green
led silkscreened "I1",
a red led silkscreened "I2" and also silked "Z-ENGINE" by a company
called "Advanced
Logic Systems". I suspect this to be some sort of z80 processor
substitute for running CP/M or
similar. Where would I find drivers for this? (I am also very familiar
and fond of CP/M - those
were the daze...) Thanx a lot in advance.....
