Warning! Mostly non Apple II stuff below. If you hates Macs, then just
hit your next button now :)
I run BasiliskII on my NT5 box at work (ok, w2k. names... whatever) It
runs like a champ. The same version compiled for Linux running on my
RedHat 7 box doesn't work very well. It locks up right after drawing
the desktop for the first time after system boot. Oh well. XGS runs
nicely though... :)
Anyway, I have a Mac LC-II rom image and I can produce a MacOS 7.5.3
install onto any size image file. (It is kind of weird. The BasiliskII
emulator presents the HFS image files to the OS as floppies, so I boot
from a 100M floppy drive!)
If Marvin installs BasiliskII, he can mount /dev/sda1 (his HFS partition
that he told me about in a personal email), and mount his Linux file
system as a pseadu-network drive, and copy files using the Mac OS
Finder.
btw, If I tell BasiliskII that I have a Mac LC-II rom, the emulated box
won't boot. I have to use a Mac LC-II ROM but tell the box that it is a
Mac IIci. Wierd..
