The first thing I would do would be to switch power supplies.  If the good
machine won't boot with the power supply brick from the other machine,
then clearly you've got a bad power brick.

There is also an internal power supply in the //c, and I suppose there
could be a problem with that...unfortunately I don't think it is as easy a
component to switch...(it's been a while since I had my //c open, and I
only have one of those).
