Back around '86 or '87, I made up an adapter cable to mount inside my IIe
that would allow the TI's RF modulator to just plug in.  I might even still
have the adapter, even though I left the TI behind in a move in '88.  (It
was dead simple...a DIN-5 connector, a 4-pin Molex connector, and some wires
going to the appropriate places on each to carry power and video to the RF
modulator.  An additional connector might have enabled audio as well.)

The pinout for the RF-modulator connector inside the II is available in the
Apple IIe tech reference and probably some other sources as well.  The
pinout for the TI's RF modulator was (IIRC) printed on the box.  If it
wasn't, you could probably figure it out if you opened the box and probed
the cable to see what goes where.

The Atari 2600's RF modulator was built in.  The adapter of which you speak
was no more than a switchbox to switch between the machine and the
antenna/cable connection for normal TV viewing.
