I will examine the board more closely.  However, ALL componenets are
socketed.  They are all SMT (surface mount technology).  The pins on the
PDS connector look pristine.  I can solder on a board that has 10
pins/inch, but this thing has pins on smaller than 1mm centers (I think,
this is from memory).

If it dies, I could always resell the 'Y' cable... Or buy another card. 
I'm getting disillusioned with the whole thing.  I feel real bummed out
that my new $25 toy is broke.

My Apple SCSI card finally arrived via UPS today.  They accidentally
shipped it to the wrong city, 100+ miles away.  Hopefully it will work
and that will cheer me up.
