Er, DOS 3.3 doesn't identify itself on the screen with a release or
assembly date.  I know the last version was the "][e patch" version for
which the HELLO and APPLESOFT programs on the System Master were
re-written (they added that "BE SURE CAPS LOCK IS DOWN" message).

The latest version I have seems to be dated January 1, 1983, but that's
the date coded into HELLO and APPLESOFT on the System Master.  No telling
what the actual release date for the code was.  As for the assembly
date...there are others here who probably know for sure, but I don't think DOS
3.3 has been reassembled since its first release...consequently all the
critical flags and entry points have remained constant in spite of a
number of maintenance patches (including several "fixes" (none of which
actually work if I remember correctly) for the APPEND bug, and some
enhancements for the ][e).
