ShrinkIt needs to be run under ProDOS. It needs the ProDOS routines
to read and write to and from disks so you won't be able to open the
file in question or write the uncompressed data back to disk if you
haven't booted into ProDOS.
If you don't have a boot disk at all, go to:
http://www.a2central.com/stuff/applesoftware/orderform.html
and find the disk or disks that would best help you. Send in your
payment and you'll get disks in the mail that will get you up and
running.
By the way, ShrinkIt is not shareware, it is freeware. It should be
available for download from many different places but like I said,
without a boot disk it is useless.
