Well having said that it performs better than I expected, certainly in
general use it seems similar to an Atari ST, I guess performance wise it
compares to a 5Mhz 68000. But much better sound, of course!

I can't say I ever encountered one in the flesh before, they were pretty
rare here (UK) compared to the Amiga and Atari. I paid around ï¿½1200 for my
Amiga 1000 in '86, the Atari about half the price,  I think the GS was much
more for a complete system.
