Excuse me for butting in, but FYI, z80 was the most dominant chip among
Japanese 8-bit micros, notably NEC 8001 lines and Sharp MZ lines of
products.

(One remarkable exception was Fujitsu's FM8, which actually utilized
*two* 6809's. 8)
