It'll never be Maximum PC's Dream Machine, but...

what would be the specs on a IIgs "dream machine"? I don't remember what's
vapourware, what exists, or where to find anything anymore.

As I can recall: ROM3 (cleaner sound) motherboard w/8MB,14 MHz overclocked
ZipGS, RamFAST SCSI card w/1gb (min.) HDD and Zip, BlueDisk floppy
controller and drive, 56K modem w/Marinetti, Second Sight SVGA card, printer
connected via whatever-it-was-Sheppy-wrote-to-use-real-printers, PC tower
case w/decent power supply to handle all the cards.

I remember hearing about, but never seeing: Physical FPU card, Ethernet
adapter...

What other items, like daughterboard sound cards, should be had? And what
about that scanner card with OCR I seem to remember? (Vitesse?) Why stop
there... we'll need an adapter to use PC joysticks, too, since that's where
the good ones are to be found.

Dreaming about ideal systems is a favourite hobby of mine. Within the
limits of the IIgs (no. of slots free, for example), what "perfect" IIgs
would each of you build? Just curious...
