Re: Apple //c project

Hello.

Have you tried prying the keys off the memory expansion IIc and soaking
them overnight in soapy water, then scrubbing them with a toothbrush?
I've found that doing this, in addition to vacuuming off and cleaning
the keyboard base, is a sure cure for a "sticky" keyboard (don't ask me
why.)

I probably need not mention it, but be sure to allow another full day
for the keys to completely dry out before replacing them.

Hopefully this will work, since, IMHO, the keyboard in the later IIcs is
better.

I'm not sure if the keyboards between the two are interchangable; they
do differ considerably from each other--the earlier model has a plastic
base while the later is metal, and the construction of each differs as
well.

As for the sliding screen on the your older model, that is well beyond
my limited technical knowledge.

Good luck!
