First computer? It's hard to remember which IBM mainframe I used during
that first course in BASIC I took back in 1971. But, it was long before
monitors were in use. My best memory of that machine was printing out
ASCII graphics with a Star Trek theme.
Once the micro arrived, it was an Atari 400 for me; followed by the
original Osborne, and then the Osborne executive. Three computers before
the Apple II+ entered my life. Followed years later by the IIGS. And, the
IIGS was all I could have ever wanted in a computer, so it's the only one
I use on a daily basis.
As it was, I loved the Apple II so much, I decided that was my future.
And, lo and behold, 14 years after starting to earn a living with mine, I
still am.
