The first computer I ever used was the C-64 in junior high school.
Learned BASIC and a few other things I've since forgotten. Later in high
schooI I poked around with Pascal on a IIgs.
The first computer I ever owned was an Apple IIc my parents bought for
me in 1986. I've been using it ever since--in fact, I still consider it
my primary computer (no laughter, please).
In the last year or so I've had a renewed interest in my IIc beyond just
playing games and word processing. Before, I never really bothered to
learn much about it.
What I find most rewarding is finally being able to get all the
accessories, such as an external 5.25 IIc drive and 2 UniDisk 3.5s, a
mouse, more programs--all the things I couldn't afford back in the
Eighties--for so little money. I'm still looking for an LCD screen, 1MB
memory expansion card, sound enhancer, and a hard drive (ha!).
Other acquisitions in the last year:
2 more IIcs
Enhanced baige IIe
IIgs (ROM 0)
Tandy 1000HX
