Idle cycles? Try resizing a 24-bit, 300-DPI, 8.5x11 image on a Pentium 166
(or Mac equivalent) with 64MB of RAM. It takes about 10 minutes on mine. It
would probably be an overnight job on a IIgs.

Eye candy? Numerous studies have shown that larger screens greatly enhance
productivity (my own experience fully supports this view.) How well do you
think an old CPU would do running a 1024x768 screen? How about 1600x1280?
