I'd say that the vast majority of AppleWorks users have non-Apple II computers.
About half of them run (or have run, then abandoned) AppleWorks on the Mac
using an emulator, either Deja ][ or Bernie.
It's best on an Apple II, of course; either IIGS, or IIe/IIc with one meg of
memory.... although less memory will do. The current version, AppleWorks 5.1,
is very advanced compared to, say, the MS Works which comes bundled with most
new consumer PC's.
The AppleWorks spreadsheet is a lot like the old Lotus 1-2-3.
