Re: What has changed in the Apple world last 6 months?
Believe it or not Bev, I don't hate you, nor do I wish to be disruptive in your
life. You do offer valuable contributions to the Apple II world, and I value you
that, even if we would never be friends. I don't see that we have to be friends,
but I certainly don't wish to be your enemy. For that matter, I hate conflict so
much, I don't even wish to be Rudy's enemy. Tom and I, now, are at least civil to
one another, and that is what I really do wish to see here on csa2: civility.

I informed them after you had informed the Mailing List that they would no longer
be receiving the list. The quotes were from their replies to my messages. I didn't
think it was proper to cut them off without a warning. You say that you had warned
Joe (and Bill?) Joe and Bill say they hadn't been warned. Since I'm not privy to
the exchange of email between you and either of them, I have no way of knowing what
the truth is, do I? It is possible that one side or the other is lying, it is also
possible that neither are lying, but that emails got lost in the ether, or that
someone missed the point, or that the point wasn't clear, or whatever.

Common curtsey. What you said in that last Mailing that I had received made it
clear that they would no longer receive the mailing, and gave no indication that
you were going to inform them of it. So I did. The only reason all this was brought
up (again) was your joining in with Ruby in claiming that I snipe at Apple II
promoters. I know that you used a smilely face, but the message was so mixed that I
couldn't help but remember an old song, "Smiling faces" (the OJays??)

If so then you are one up on me. I have no idea who he is.

That's true.

Perhaps. It is true that I don't know all the personalities and baggage. But I have
been collecting, repairing, selling, and supporting Apple IIs for over eight years
now. I host the local Apple II club either in the building of the church I work
for, or (twice now) in my home. The club had been dead for two years. I had joined
it at it's last meeting (figures....) and finally got enough new guys to get the
former president/librarian to come out of retirement to give us a new start. We
have hardware people, software people, educators, and then there's me. I guess I
qualify as cheerleader, promoter and host, since I really don't have the skills or
knowledge to do much more.

Point well taken.
