DC power outlet on Laser Expansion Slot box?

Anyone have one of these?  I just got a hold of one without directions.

Is this positive or negative tip?  I wished to try it with a FOCUS hard drive
card.  I've plugged the card directly into the Laser's external slot and it has
worked; however, it's very heavy, makes a poor connection, and is very
vulnerable to accidents.  I'm hopping the box will make the Laser more useful
as a portable computer.

BTW, for those that don't have it, it's a bit more complicated inside than the
SCRG's four slot expansion box and the Laser's would only work with a Laser
computer, while the SCRG's would work with either unit (the Laser's box has a
three inch long and 2inch wide flat cable with a large, male slot plug at the
end).
